The majority of my posts explore ways SECP’s can help themselves become more successful and live life the way they see fit. I’ll share with you another indicator that something is going right. A client gave me the gift of respect today which I believe is a direct result of acting professionally and respectfully in every interaction with them.
I’ve had a scanning, retouching and printing project sitting in my office for quite some time. It’s one of those filler projects that needs to be done, but there’s no hurry or worry when it gets done. Until today. I receive a phone call from my client and she says, “We’re at the end of our fiscal year, there’s money leftover in our budget and I’d like to get started on that project and get you a check before the month ends. Does that work for you? Can you submit an invoice and start the project by the 29th?” How great is that? This kind of thing has happened to me before but it’s infrequent. Think about it, a client taking care of you first. Remarkable. Do you think she’ll get a stellar performance out of me for this project? Bet on it.
Business has been on a steady uptick this year, one or two set backs but definitely a better year than last. This incredibly thoughtful client is another indicator of how good a life I’ve made for myself. I’m grateful for having her in my sphere of influence.
It has been and continues to be my experience that all efforts geared towards nurturing relationships leads to long-term successes……
